Paramount Impact is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Attorneys, tax advisors, financial advisors, and family enterprise advisors introduce clients when a fund, a project, or a gift needs a charitable home. We do not replace that relationship.
Families rarely arrive alone. They come with an attorney, a tax advisor, a financial advisor, and often someone who already helps with the family enterprise. Paramount Impact works with those people as a matter of course, not as a courtesy at the end.
We are the public charity that can hold a donor-advised fund, house a fiscally sponsored project, or help an existing foundation with ordinary grantmaking and reporting. The legal, tax, investment, and family work stays where it belongs. When that work sits in the same conversation as the gift, the gift is easier to complete and less likely to be left half-done.
We do not pay referral fees, finder’s fees, or commissions. We do not charge a fee on a balance sitting in a fund. Public fees are posted below and on the Fees page. A first conversation confirms them.
Estate, tax, and charitable counsel stay counsel. We will read the documents you draft, supply sample bequest or beneficiary language if it helps, and coordinate a testamentary fund or a charitable remainder trust with what you have already written. We do not substitute our forms for yours.
You own the return. We provide gift acknowledgments, the donee portion of Form 8283 when we are the donee, and a clear record of what was received and when. If a client is considering a qualified charitable distribution, we will say plainly that a QCD cannot go to a donor-advised fund.
Securities, cash, and gifts timed to a sale or other liquidity are ordinary work for us, done with the custodian and with you. We copy you on material correspondence unless you ask us not to. We do not take the investment relationship, and we do not charge a fee on a balance sitting in a fund.
Some households already have a person who helps with the operating company, governance, and the next generation. Giving belongs in that work rather than off to the side. We will join those meetings when the family asks, and we will keep the fund or the project consistent with what that group has already decided.
You set the timeline. Some advisors want a short call with us first. Others bring the family to a conversation once the question is clear: a fund to grant, a project to run, a gift of stock, a bequest, or help for a foundation that already exists. Nothing opens itself.
We follow the communication preferences you establish. By default we copy the referring advisor on material correspondence. If you want a different arrangement, say so. Documentation for your files — acknowledgments, transfer confirmations, Form 8283 donee parts, and a 501(c)(3) letter — is part of the work, not an extra.
